Our experience and training informs us to how and where we can help most. In so doing there are a number of areas of knowledge we draw on including open systems thinking, action research, process design, Jungian and archetypal psychology, neuro-linguistic programming and complex adaptive systems theory.
Network members draw on their own life experience which includes executive and line management, occupational health and safety, education, transport systems planning, agriculture, human resource development, psychotherapy and counselling. This experience and training allows us to bring a wide range of solutions and responses to bear on the needs of the client organization.
Underlying these responses is a shared belief among members of the network that people congregate together in organizations in order to fulfill some over-arching goal and to meet their own needs. In the case of the private sector this is invariably related to creating value add for the corporation's owners. In other cases, for example government, the basic purpose may be different. All of our work is ultimately done in this context, the fundamental purpose for which the organization exists is paramount. We aim to help create purposeful, profitable, safe and enthusiastic environments in which people can work effectively together in shared endeavor.
Complex adaptive systems theory has been informing leading edge management practice for the last decade. Its most common expression comes from the field known as complexity theory. We draw heavily from this well in designing our interventions and strategies for clients.
This approach allows us to take account of the many and complex variables that make up the organizational realities of the 21st Century. We view our client organizations as multi-layered living systems with life of their own, independent of the individuals that constitute them. We use processes and models based on the Enneagram and systematics to translate these approaches into concrete practical action that improves both business results and the lives of the people who work in modern corporations. We complement these with understandings from Jungian and archetypal psychology, and specific skills from neuro-linguistic programming.
