Align around solutions and pathways

Getting agreement among people as to goals and actions is a relatively easy task. Achieving deep alignment is a totally different order of task. Whether considered explicitly or not, there are always there types/fields of outcomes in any meeting, gathering or planning retreat. These are rational (goals, tasks), emotional (feelings, sentiment), and social (relationships, social fabric). Alignment occurs when there is high levels of agreement and congruence around all three, not just assent about the goals and actions to follow.
